overview:
Internship in Digital Media Production provides students with the opportunity to apply classroom learning to the work environment. Students acquire work experiences in business, educational institutions, social services organizations, or other agencies involved in digital media activity. This course requires supervision by an appropriate advisor during the internship, establishment of learning objectives, and a digital media journal documenting the completion of the learning objectives. This course requires seventy-five hours of work with an approved company and forty hours of written and media assignments.
Assignments:
Journals
Students will journal once per week about the experiences they have as they move through the journey of their Internship. Students should record thoughts below about their internship weekly responsibilities. Each journal should be 200 words. Below, each journal needs to be signed by the internship supervisor and student. Any document submitted without signature will not be accepted. A total of 16 logs need to be turned in at the end of the semester (6 by midterm).
Documentation
Students will obtain both production documentations (if applicable) and required course documentations.
Resume
Students will create a resume that includes their internship experience.
