Hello! I haven't posted anything in quite awhile. I've been so busy lately! Ah! but I finally found sometime to update! I wanted to share more of what I experienced in Italy...aside from the food.
I went to a Photography and Film Museum while in Italy and was able to see some really interesting stuff. Cameras, film stocks, projectors, negatives, older photographs, you name it, it was there. It was gratifying just being able to see the antique cameras, and realizing that what I was experiencing was the history of how the idea of film and moving pictures came to be.

The display that really got my heart racing was the antique camera display; where it displayed photography cameras- from their introduction to the present day. It was amazing being able to see the progression, change, and advancement of the technology of all of these cameras. I never wanted to leave that museum; going there made me appreciate the history of my field of study and concreted my believe that the career path I have chosen for myself is the right one.
Another amazing little piece in the museum was a camera made from recycled soda cans. Surprisingly, it seemed to be the most popular item in that particular exhibit.

I finished off my Italian film adventure with a trip to the "Libreria Del Cinema"
The layout appears to be a bookstore, however inside it is a film merchandise shop. It sells posters, books, postcards and much more- all decorated with famous actors or famous American films. Some of the merchandise showed the American film posters, but the film titles where in Italian.
In the back of the store is a small one room library, where you can purchase books on films, biographies, and some textbooks. I purchased a basic film production textbook that was written in Italian. I am learning Italian now, so it should be interested when I go to read it.
I must say, out of the many adventures I had experienced in and around Florence, this one was definitely in the top 3.
