My dream was fulfilled! The last day in Florence was one of the best, most exciting day of my life. It was sad that I was leaving, but everything I did that day had a significant meaning and holds a special place in my heart; from the last dinner and gelato, to seeing the entire city of Florence from the Piazza Michelangelo.
For the many people who know me, I am a huge Italian Series A football fan, or as other countries call it, Soccer. I have loved the sport since I was young, I played during middle school, but had to stop due to studies. Yet even today all that is on my TV is soccer, aside from various movies and asian dramas.

What made my last day epic you ask?
Well, as they say, pictures tell a thousand words. My last day, my roommate and I walked through the street vendors, buying our last minute gifts to bring home; there I saw some of the vendors playing with a soccer ball. I immediately ran over, took some pictures, and just watched them play.
The suddenly, the ball comes straight to me! Catching the ball with my foot I look up and see the vendors smiling-one thing lead to another and there I was, in the streets of Florence, on my last day, playing football with the Italians. I was in heaven. It was that moment that made me feel like Italy was my home, that I was part of the community. I will forever remember this feeling and the impact it had on me.

I also promised myself at this time that when I returned to Italy my first priority is to attend a football game!
